Installation of Drupal 7 #
There are two methods to install drupal on your system.
- Install drupal 7 automatically.
- Install drupal 7 manually.

Install drupal 7 automatically. #
If you are using hosting from a different hosting provider then they give you chance to install drupal automatically on your system. To install drupal automatically perform the following steps. The softaclous utility gives you the ability to install drupal in one click
Step1: login to the Cpanel account.
Step2: go to the softaclous section, different software will appear, type drupal in the search box, and press enter. Or go to portals/CMS and select drupal from there
Step3: the drupal software will appear, click the install button, the drupal interface will appear.

Software setup
- Choose the version you want to install.
- Choose the protocol of the website (HTTP:// or HTTPS://)
- Choose the domain you want to install drupal.
Site settings
- In the site, setting give the name of your site
Admin account
- In the admin account select the username of your account
- In the password, the section chooses the password of your account.
- Also in write the admin mail for your site
Advanced option
- In advanced option-click install.

Install drupal 7 manually. #
To install drupal on your system you have to perform the following steps. Fro setting up your site 3 main steps are important in the drupal installation

To set the drupal files perform the following steps
Step1: go to the official website of Drupal (https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal) download the version of drupal you want in the ZIP format.
Step2: login to Cpanel of your hosting, go to file manager,
Step3: paste the file you downloaded in the public_html directory of your domain,
Extract that file.
- Creating database
To create a database perform the following steps
Step1: go to MySQLDatabase, give a name to the database, and click create the database.
Step2: In the next step add a user to the database, add the username of the user, write a password, and then click create a user.
Step3: In the next window give all privileges to the user.
- Configure site
To configure the site perform the following steps.
Step1: enter the installation path of your website. And select the language you want.
Step2: choose the installation profile for your site, if you are a beginner with drupal we recommend you to go with the standard, if are advanced then you can go with minimal
Step3: verify the requirement of drupal. If any of the requirements are not fully filed then the message will display.
Step4: configure the database you created with the site.
Step5: configure the site, enter the site name, site email address and feel the other information, create administrator username and password and click on save and continue.
