The installation process of Joomla #
There are two methods to install Joomla on your system. You can use one of them to install Joomla on your system.
- Install using the auto-installer
- Install manually
1.Install using the auto-installer
To install Joomla quickly we have to use a softaculous installer. for installation perform the following steps
Step1: login to Cpanel, go to softaculous app installer you will see the Joomla cms click on it, the new interface will open.
Step2: in the new interface you will see the information about Joomla and also the install button, click on install to install the CMS on your hosting.
Step3: In the next interface you will see the information required for the installation. This information is divided into 5 parts
- Software setup
- Site settings
- Database setting
- Admin account
- Install
- Software setup
- In software, set up select the version you want to install on your system.
- In the next part select the protocol of your website (HTTP:// or HTTPS://) then select the domain and directory you want to install.
- Site settings
- In the site setting part select the site name and site description.
- Database setting
- In the database, the setting imports the sample data.
- Admin account
- In admin, the account setting creates the username and password.
- Then give the admin mail
- Install
- Choose the language you want to install.
- And click the install button to install.
2.Install Joomla manually #
To install manually perform the following steps. for installation, the procedure is divided into 3 parts. #
- File configuration.
- Database configuration
- Website configuration.
- File configuration
Step1: go to the official website and download the latest version in the zip file.
Step2: login to the Cpanel of your hosting, go to file manager.
Step3: in the public_html folder paste the file you downloaded, and extract it.
- database configuration
Step1: To create the database go to the database section in your Cpanel, click on MySQLDatabase.
Step2: write the database name and click create the database.
Step3: Add the user to the database you created.
Step4: give all privileges to the user.
- Website configuration
To configure your website there are 3 steps
Step1: In the first step you have to give the information about the site and administrator,
Add username password to your site
Step2: configure your database with your website, fill in the required information like the username password of your database, and give the name of your database to add to the website
Step3: Here you will see the overview of your website. Like your email, username database configuration, and some recommended settings.
