What is SuiteCRM? #
SuiteCRM is a free, open-source, modular Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application for servers, written in PHP programing language. It allows businesses to increase sales, improve customer care, and streamline operations. Open-source Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is often used as an alternative to proprietary CRM software from major corporations such as HubSpot, Salesforce, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM applications.
It was released under the license of AGPL on October 21, 2013, as of version 7.0, and provides upgrade paths for existing SugarCRM users. It is a software fork of the popular CRM system from SugarCRM. It was started when SugarCRM decided to stop the development of its open-source version.
The base SuiteCRM application is built on the last open-source SugarCRM release. It is greatly extended version 7.0 and provides upgrade paths for existing SugarCRM users. That can be configured for sales, marketing, IT, or service department in any industry in a business of any size. It provides users with actionable insight into customer behavior, leads, accounts, and more.
